Each of our businesses provide material testing on incoming and outgoing metal. We have various lab equipment, testing capabilities, and certifications based on the needs of our customers and the markets they serve. All of our businesses are ISO certified and offer material testing.

Typical testing at Gibbs Interwire and Combined Service Centers includes Rockwell testing, tensile, yield, and elongation properties. We also offer digital inspection capabilities.

Elgiloy Specialty Metals Labs:

Many of our mill customers work with our Elgiloy team of process engineers and product managers to develop highly engineered rolling, finish, and annealing processes to improve the end product or their manufacturing processes. Whether it’s a specialty rolled finish to facilitate lubrication, half tolerances, grain size, or restricted tensile range, our expert staff of material and testing specialists provides analysis to confirm your strip and wire meets specification and mechanical property requirements. We certify to standard and custom specifications.
